Things worth knowing
We are an early-stage operation building a cold chain on Pemba. We hold no third-party sustainability certification today and we will tell you that in the first email rather than the fifth.
If your buyer requires MSC or equivalent certification as a condition of purchase, we are not the right supplier for you yet — and we would rather say so now than waste your quarter.
Today we supply buyers on mainland Tanzania. International export begins with the HACCP facility, so an enquiry from overseas now is a conversation about timing and specification, not a shipment next week — and we welcome exactly that conversation.
What we can prepare
Today: a landing record for every fish — vessel and registration, skipper, landing site, date, whole weight and grade — and the grading sheet including any downgrades, plus the cold-store temperature log.
Coming with the laboratory programme and the new facility, and not before: batch histamine results, chain-of-custody codes, logged freeze curves and DNA confirmation on snapper.
